Last weekend I had the absolute pleasure of doing wedding flowers for the lovely Jen and Sharon. The brief was rustic, pretty, un-contrived, seasonal flowers in clean soft colours with whites, creams, blush pink and a sprinkle of pale blue. I love spring flowers and the brief was perfect for the season. I used ranunculus and tulips from Lincolnshire growers (mine are no-where near!) narcissi, forget me nots, hellebores, rosemary, cinnerera silver dust, sarcococca, hyacinths and grape hyacinths from my cutting garden and eucalyptus from Cornwall and there is a sprinkle of wax flower which isn't from the UK but I couldn't resist it here. I did a big vase for the registrars table and needed something fluffy and discovered some very early cow parsley in the orchard!
I got to make two bridal bouquets which is the best bit for me as well as wrist corsages and table centres in kilner jars that Jen and Sharon had already decorated. It was a super pretty, really classy wedding and I loved doing the flowers. Hope you like them too!
