1:1 CREATIVE MENTORING
Who is 1:1 Creative Mentoring for?
This is for anyone who is feeling stuck, trapped or uncertain. It could be that you thinking about a career change or a change in life direction but lack the confidence or strategy to move forward. You may feel the need to change but you don’t know what that might look like. You may have been running a creative business for a while but are in a rut and are not sure how to progress. You may have lots of brilliant ideas and are buzzing with enthusiasm but you are not sure what to focus on and you need an impartial, experienced ear to listen to your plans. You may feel that you are lacking inspiration and feel disengaged from your craft. It is very easy to feel self-doubt and frustration which can create a cycle of negativity which can be hard to get out of on your own.
These sessions are designed to hold a space for you to discuss ideas, to find the path forward, to explore what any blocks might be, what beliefs may be holding you back or affecting your confidence. I am a very experienced teacher and mentor and have been running my business for 20 years. I work part time as a careers mentor for The Network - a small charity in Lincoln, helping young people overcome barriers so they can progress onto work or training. I also worked for many years as a senior lecturer in higher education and have had a lot of experience juggling a ‘proper’ job with a creative one and helping students to overcome a lack of confidence and self belief. I can (and will!) offer advice but my particular skill is in enabling you to find the answers and the confidence you need within yourself to unlock your potential.
What does 1:1 Creative Mentoring include?
The sessions are hosted in my studio at Doddington Hall. This means that as well as a warm, private space, we can use my garden if we wish to walk and talk or perhaps use trees or flowers as props to help us work through any barriers. The sessions can be half a day which is typically 10 - 1.30 or a full day, typically 10 - 4.30. I will provide hot drinks and light refreshments but please bring lunch if you are attending for a whole day.
The Practical Stuff
A full day costs £400 and half a day is £250. Please feel free to get in touch and we can discuss what might suit you best.
